TASK #1 - Advertising Campaign Analysis - Free Choice

1. Explain how you think the "creative" in the print campaign links to the TV commercial.

The creative behind the print ad in relation to the TV ad in this case is pushing the point of pureness. Having the word "PURE" before the name of each product in the line & the water representing half the products ingredient.

2. Explain how effective you think the TV ad and the print ad communicate their intended message.

Both ads come across very convincing. The TV ad is short & straight to the point with all the information needed to lead to a curious sale from a customer. The print ad is very simple, not too busy & has the key to get attention, "PURE" hits the eye more than 3 times through the whole ad. Its basically a still of footage taken from the TV ad itself so again after the consumer views the TV ad then they may go out & see the print ad, again having repetitive impact of the viewers mind encouraging them to try the product out.

3. Who is the campaign targeting? Why do you think that?

Women ranging from early teens to elderly. People with sensitive skin. Offering a more pleasing effect on skin, avoiding oils & things that as a teen can bring on unwanted acne & flare up skin conditions. As elder women wear it the product is not mixing in with perspiring & flushes but hydrating skin that may otherwise be dry etc.

4. Do you think it is an effective advertising campaign?

For many ladies this product would be appealing to them for many reasons. A product that is not going to impact on appearance in a negative way but is going to leave you with a flawless look is attractive in anyones eyes.

5. Offer alternative ways the photography or creative director could have put over the same message.

For me the creative directors approach is understandable but maybe a human subject giving a sense of being purely refreshed could have worked a little bit better when it comes to the emotions within the advertising.
